Good surfing, in all modes, comes with experience, practice and having an understanding of your essential volume and shape spec’s. With the advent of computer pre-shapes, surfers can work closer with a shaper using a reliable starting point to replicate a magic board or change it slightly for a different feel or purpose. There is a certain knowledge and satisfaction in having a surfboard personally tailored that you can’t really get from a shop assistant.

The MK1 model is the consummate all-rounder. Increased area and moderate rocker make this the most versatile board in the MSD range.
Whilst it remains the competitors “go to” board day in day out, it is also very adaptable for surfers at all levels and can be tailored for all sizes, tail shapes and fin combinations.
Generally surfed 1-2” shorter than your all-rounder.

The GRUB is basically a short double ender with extra drive. This board has a high rocker/ deep concave combo with a mid to low rail.
Whilst for the modern youth it gets in quick, feeds quick with an advanced aerial recovery rate, it also offers surfers in general a couple of extra gears in a much shorter board.
Generally surfed 3-4” shorter than your all-rounder.

Small wave boards are an important part of any modern quiver.
The ProPod, blending a basic short, wide, low rockered design with a drivey tail pod, will cover flat spots easily and has a tight snappy feel.
Having no extreme features is what makes it the optimum step down from your all-rounder.
Primarily a tri-fin design, it accommodates all fin combinations.
Generally surfed 3-4” shorter than your all-rounder.

The RPG model is a heavily tested and proven, high performance all-rounder that has been tweaked and rebirthed over the years. Having generally tighter curves, slightly lower volume and a medium single double concave, it suits high level surfers and can be tailored for all sizes, tail shapes and fin combinations.
